DESCRIPTION:The particle nature of dark matter remains one of the great ope
 n questions in physics. A compelling category of candidates is so light th
 at it behaves more as a wave than a particle. The best-known example\, the
  axion\, has seen a renaissance as theory and advances in quantum sensing 
 have opened new detection avenues. I will give an overview of this "wavy" 
 dark matter field\, focusing on my search for GUT-scale axions with DMRadi
 o and the ABRACADABRA demonstrator.
