Abstract | Flavour physics has historically paved the way to important discoveries in particle physics. Results over the last decade allowed to set stringent constraints on possible scenarios of physics beyond the Standard Model. However, recent measurements of B-meson decays, by the LHCb experiment and the B-factories, show discrepancies with respect to Standard Model predictions that seem to form a coherent pattern. Are we detecting cracks in the Standard Model? I will review the status of the so-called flavour anomalies and I’ll discuss possible interpretations and future prospects. |
